The city of Girona offers an important offer of museums where you will be able to admire such interesting art pieces:
The museum of the Cathedral (www.lacatedraldegirona.com) that displays two of the most important pieces of medieval European art: The tapestry of the creation an extraordinary and rare textile piece of the XI Century, and the Beatus, a manuscript book dated on the year 975.
The Art museum (www.museuart.com) installed in a former Episcopal palace, next to the Cathedral, with an interesting sample of the artistic manifestations of the zone, from the visigothic time to the present day.
The local museum of history (www.ajuntament.gi/turisme/esp/man) proposes a tour from the first settlers up to the contemporary time.
The Archaeological museum (www.mac.es) that allows you to visit the monastery of Sant Pere de Galligans's, as well as a sample of collections of the prehistory and of the classic period.

The Cinema museum (www.museudelcinema.org) offers a complete tour from the origins of the cinema. It gathers a batch of 25.000 pieces from the collection of Tomàs Mallol dedicated to the fascination that the man had for those images.
